The Granfondo Serra da Estrela 2019 will take place next July 07. This cycling event brings the concept of the Granfondos to Portugal's most charismatic and grand cyclical scenario.
Serra da Estrela, as the only high mountain scenario in our country, makes this a unique Granfondo, which differentiates it from other events of the kind organized in Portugal, bringing it closer to other reference events held in high mountain scenarios such as the Pyrenees, the Peaks of Europe or the Alps.
In the Serra da Estrela Granfondo participants have the opportunity to live in the first person the challenge of the high mountain stages where cycling as a passionate mode takes its maximum exponent.
More than a test, this event is mainly a celebration of cycling for all, carried out in its most iconic scenario, where it ends, doing so within the time stipulated by the organization for safety, will be for many the true challenge and for those who achieve it, the great victory on a day certainly filled with strong emotions.
This year with a novelty in the course of Granfondo that will challenge participants from the longest distance with the longest and most demanding climb in Portugal. Vide - Tower, 30km of climb in which the cyclists will overcome a total difference of more than 1,600 m, with passage in the mythical Adamastor and finishing in the Tower Height.
